Just returned today from our weekend stay (3/6-3/9) at The LINE DC. We showed up later than planned, exhausted from fighting traffic, and were more than ready to get out of the car. The placement of the hotel is easy to find, located in the middle of all of the action of Adams Morgan. It was a beautiful area and we felt very safe, even with all of the foot traffic around the restaurants, stores, and bars. The valet was readily waiting when we arrived and immediately fetched us a luggage cart, helped load our belongings, and promptly provided us with a car ticket. I was able to easily check in at the front desk and was greeted by two very welcoming, polite staff members. The hotel room was extremely clean and spacious. We opted to upgrade to the monument queen since we had 4 adults. We noticed one of the vintage nightstands was a little unstable so when we left the room to go out for dinner, I told the gentleman at the front desk, and he asked if we were comfortable with him entering our room while we were out, and we said yes. We were only gone a short amount of time for food and a few drinks, and when we arrived it had already been exchanged. The restaurant on property is very high end with a gorgeous decor, and the cafe where we got coffee the next morning was quick and the pastries were very fresh. The beds were comfortable and we were able to sleep easily as it was very quiet; felt like all of the hotel guests were respectful and we never heard any of the street noise/bars/etc. It is set up to feel more vintage but everything was really well kept and clean. We only used housekeeping once but they were thorough and replaced everything we had used. Additional note: the Cowshed bath products are really nice and I didn't even use my own products because I enjoyed them so much. When we checked out today, our car was ready, and it was very speedy. I would definitely stay here again!
This was a wonderful stay! The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. The rooms were cleaned and very nice (the one I stayed in had a cute little view too). Also the beds were surprisingly comfortable!! I will definitely be back here the next time I visit DC
I came here for a work trip and the staff are very kind and accommodating. It’s a very old historic building, but I feel like the rooms are more than adequate for my needs. They’re actually very roomy and I have had no trouble sleeping at night. The conference rooms are great and the mezzanine is an awesome spot for a party. I would definitely come here again whether I’m attending a corporate event or just staying in the area.
I had a really great stay at The Line Hotel in DC. The building itself is super cool. It used to be a historic church, and they’ve done an amazing job keeping that character while making everything feel modern and comfortable. The location in Adams Morgan is a big plus. There’s always something going on, and you’re surrounded by great food, music, and energy. The rooms were surprisingly spacious, especially for DC, with lots of light and a really relaxed vibe. It actually felt like a place you could unwind, not just crash for the night. What stood out the most, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely friendly and helpful without being over the top, which made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend staying here. No hesitation at all.
NIGHTMARE! Restaurant staff friendly and pointed me to the right hotel entrance and valet. Front desk lady, Latoya (?) would not open the locked door for me, did not greet me, failed to explain the restaurant and cafe hours comprehensibly, and then erupted into angrily shouting at me for not understanding her explanations. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said she’s done with me, I should comeback tomorrow. THE NIGHTMARE CONTINUES: I booked the Landmark Studio Suite. The room on the 4th floor is buzzing loud with AC system right outside window. I cannot sleep here. Anywhere within a 20 foot radius from the windows is blasting loud noise. Room is spacious but decoration is mixed at best. Feels more like a cheap attempt at passing as stylish. THE NEXT NIGHTMARE? I’ll try breakfast tomorrow morning and report back here.
