The inn was wonderful for our family of 4. Beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. Excellent service at check in and check out. We loved the walk ability to the Disney museum and lawn with views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Breakfast and wine/cheese were great! Don’t miss the cookies!

We had a second floor king suite. It was spacious, clean and lovely. However, we could not get enough hot water for a shower or a bath. I saw someone else posted a review saying the same thing a few months ago and their response to the review was that the problem was fixed. That is not true, and we tried in the evening as well as the next morning. We both just had to leave without showering, after long walks, which seems pretty crazy for a $650 a night room (and that doesn’t include the 16% national park fee). It is a very cool property but they need to get the hot water issue fixed.

The Inn at the Presidio is a charming, historic boutique property. The rooms are large and comfortable—more boutique than modern—and the bathrooms follow the same style. The hotel has character without feeling outdated, which is a rare balance. Breakfast was not bad, and the fire pit is lit during wine happy hour in the evenings, adding a cozy touch. The views look out onto the Presidio park, and the location is extremely quiet and serene. It feels more like a hidden retreat in the woods than a hotel inside a major city. It is a long walk to anywhere, but Uber or Waymo make getting around easy. The property is also well-situated for quick trips in and out of the city via the Golden Gate Bridge. Another big plus: it’s dog-friendly. Overall, a peaceful, historic, tucked-away spot with spacious rooms and a relaxed atmosphere—perfect if you prefer a quieter base while visiting San Francisco.

Fantastic location next to the Presidio – perfect base to explore San Francisco by bike or on foot! Very clean, comfortable rooms, welcoming staff, and a great overall vibe. Excellent value and would definitely stay again!

I wanted a low key place where my family - including dogs - could stay while in San Francisco. I am a bit of a history buff so this place called out to me. Low key, but very nice.and cozy. Usually get a two room suite which is huge .. a bonus is access to a balcony with rocking chairs over looking the old marching grounds and across to the bay and the iconic Golden Gate. I love the hiking trails as well. Its really quite there even though the city is literally at the gates. Easy walk with kids to the Tunnel Top parks which includes lots of places to run around while also taking in the history of the Presidio.
